New York Times writer, Joe Nocera, recently visited two major manufacturing plants in North Carolina. His trips to a Caterpillar facility in Winston-Salem and a Siemens Gas Turbine plant in Charlotte gave him the opportunity to examine the state of US Manufacturing from the ground level.
